I’m just another busy mama who loves to cook and share recipes (sorry, no fancy food photography here), along with meal planning ideas and other home and life finds. Here you'll find a collection of easy, family-friendly recipes and practical tips to help make your life a little easier. Let's get cooking!
Dipped Ice Cream Cones Recipe Ingredients: 8-10 ice cream cones 1 pint of your favorite ice cream 1 cup of chocolate chips (semi-sweet, milk chocolate or white chocolate) 1 tbsp coconut oil or vegetable oil Assorted toppings (sprinkles, crushed nuts, shredded coconut, etc.) Instructions: Prepare the Ice Cream: Scoop the ice cream into the cones, filling each cone with a generous amount. Place the filled cones in the freezer for about 1-2 hours, or until the ice cream is firm. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate using a double boiler. Dip the Cones: Take the ice cream cones out of the freezer. Dip the top of each ice cream cone into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off. If desired, immediately sprinkle your chosen toppings onto the chocolate before it sets. Set the Chocolate: Place the dipped cones back in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely set. Enjoy: Serve the dipped ice cream cones immediately or store them in the freezer until you’re ready to enjoy them. Tips: For extra flair, you can also drizzle some caramel or fudge sauce over the ice cream before dipping it in chocolate. Experiment with different types of chocolate and toppings to create a variety of flavors. Enjoy your homemade dipped ice cream cones!
